The Last Song

I’m browsing Youtube a while ago when I chanced upon this music video of Miley Cyrus, the song is titled “When I Look at You” which will be featured in the singer/actress’ newest film The Last Song. It is based on the latest novel by renowned writer Nicholas Sparks.  I particularly liked the words to the song, and how Miley looked really grown-up in the video. See, I watch Hannah Montana almost every night so whenever I see her all grown up, I’m kinda surprised.

The movie is about how seventeen-year-old Veronica ‘Ronnie’ Miller’s life was turned upside-down when her parents divorced and her father moved from New York City to Tybee Island, Georgia.  Some three years later, she remained distant from her parents due to her anger when they divorced, and felt alienated especially with her father.  As fate would have it, her mother suddenly decided to let Ronnie and her brother spend summer on Tybee Island with their father. Ronnie’s father, a former concert pianist and teacher, is living a quiet life in the beach town, immersed in creating a work of art that will become the centerpiece of a local church. The tale that unfolds is an unforgettable story about different forms of love : first love, love between parents and children, and how the most important of our relationships can break our hearts .. and how we heal them.
